Which Clutch?

Which Clutch?
Hey guys, im pretty recent to this site, i havent posted much, but i read like everything that goes on here. I have my turbo kit in hand (the ssauto kit) and I am getting ready to get everything done hopefully before i have to go back to school, end of january.
Anyways I was wondering which clutch you would suggest for my d16y7 w/ t3/t4 turbo, stock internals. I am going to be pushing around 8psi and I could possibly be upgrading the internals later on....Any advice would help, thanks alot

Hey,
Since you're new, I'll give you few tips. A lot of people are going to mock you for not doing your research and buying a kit from SSAC.
You need to upgrade the exhaust manifold, before you use the the SSAC one. It will literally fall out of your engine bay and ---- up everything. Mike from LSD Racing will get you a good price on a quality manifold.
Secondly, dont forget a clutch. Upgrade the clutch before you even do anything because as I learned, it will immediately fail under boost. Because the clutch and the flywheel are in the same place, you'll save yourself a lot of labor if you upgrade the flywheel at the same time. LSD Racing kinda specializes in clutches, so just talk to Mike about that too.

Yes boost=more power which equals more stress on the clutch, but I (and many others) are still running a stock clutch. Granted if your motor has 4728743 ------- miles on it, then yeah when you boost it, it won't hold worth ----. But if you have a low mileage motor, it should hold 8 psi, unless of course it's beat, or something else.
Of course if you're going to do it anyway, then by all means. Preventative maintenance

Re: Which Clutch?
go to ebay and type in XTD clutches, they used to be quite more, cheap but ---- it i paid 170 for a stage 3 6 puck, just got my stock flywheel resurfaced. but they have had a ton of good reviews on HT ive seen people have been very happy with them, in nissans,hondas,ect..

Yes i know about the manifolds, im not that worried about it right now, my question was not addressing whether or not i needed a clutch, it was WHICH clutch would i be looking for?
