Clamp that holds turbo together...can it cause leak?
I just realized (yea yea yea, I'm an idiot) that the C-clamp that holds the cold side and hot side of the turbos together was never tightened. I tightened it but can't drive it because I'm waiting for some RTV gasket sealer to cure....
BUT, I was wondering if this would be the reason I couldn't hit the right psi on the turbo. It makes sense to me now...i can't believe I missed that out of all the things. :S Too much working on the car at 3am.. |

Yea, it's a DSM turbo. I don't know if that was the leak but I also found out I forgot to plug off my EGR exhaust tube (on nissans, exhaust gas is recir'ed into EGR into intake manifold). That's where I was losing most of my boost. Plugged that up and man, the car drives crrrrazy. I love boost.
