Civic 3" Downpipe Question w Pics

http://www.dkgoodrich.com/Pictures/hks-civic-dp-1.jpg

The welder jacked up 2.25" dp, he was supposed to shorten it 1.75" and didnt tig it back strait. So I'm upgrading it. I found this on ebay, I know ebay stuff is cheaply made I'm just trying to save some money in a pinch and I dont want stainless because I cant weld it my miller mig, gas isnt hooked up.

Do I have to weld the bell slip piece?

Do you think this would work on a 93 civic coupe with a b18a1 swap?

Does this elimate my cat? I noticed a 3 bolt flange instead of the 2 bolt. My car is in a poedunk state were there is no emissons.

Thanks for your patience and time.

Local exhaust shop. Autozone sells pieces and bends.

in the auction, they say that they can change the flange for you.. so just ask them for a 5 bolt..

Re: Civic 3" Downpipe Question w Pics

I bought it. On the 5 bolt flanges I've seen, the opening is only like 2.5" and there is a lil 1" port thats being blocked off, is that blocking the internal wastegate? My turbo opening is only about 2.5" as well. How does this work? Will a 3" dp fit inbetween the 5 bolts on the flange?

What about the V band 5 bolt adapters & flange? I'm gunna search a bit on it.

Also a lil confused were yall get a test pipe with two 3 both flanges on both sides instead of the 2 bolt compression

Thanks for the help.

Re: Civic 3" Downpipe Question w Pics

im in this deep, why not. I ordered some extra stainless 3" pipe & some flanges..

Does ne1 know if the 3" 3 bolt flange will bolt to my mid pipe? I have 2.25"-2.5" stainless cat back.

This is going to be so freakin expensive when I take it to the welder. It sux when there is something that needs to be done to your car and you cant do it.

I'm guessin $150-200..

Question in here that I ponder also so I'm giving this a bump.

1) Will 3" pipe even fit on the flange being the opening diameter is 2 3/8"?

I wondered the same thing. I got mine in today and it actually fits with room to weld. Its kinds close around the bolt holes.

Cool thanks. Worst would be weld a 2.5" and flare it or something.

Yea but honestly there is enough room. A friend of mine has a boosted b20 and uses the 3" dp on the 5 bolt flange. there is an 1/8 - 1/4 of welding room
