Chrysler Turbo?

Newb question for anyone. my friends boss gave him a Chrysler Turbo engine. Complete. I think it is out of an early Daytona. I get the turbo just for hauling the thing away. What kind of turbo is it? Would I be able to use it when I build my turbo kit for my 90 Si(D16a6)?
Thanks alot .

probly not, I think the exhaust is aimed so it would come out the front of your engine bay.

yeah you can use it. you will just need to clock it to work for your application. it may need a rebuild since it's so old and probably a lot of miles, but why not.

Find it on this list...If its the teo4h it might be to small IMO.That thing would spool up verry quick but run out of steam up top.

Re:Chrysler Turbo?

I'm using a turbo from a dodge 2.2 but i dont beleive its from a daytona. Post some pics of it when you get it.

I'm a jbody so the way the strange exhaust worked out for me but it would be hard to make it work on a honda. I dont believe you can clock i tthe correct way but only looking at it will tell you.

It also has a strange inlet flange. You will either have to use the same flange on your turbo manifold or you can do as I did and drill out the turbo's casting to fit on a T3 style manifold.

Cool. Thanks for the info. It's free so I'll try to use it. A rebuild was considered also.
