I have one of those turbo's, they're made by mitsu and full name is the MHI TE04H and they're not the same as the dsm 14g. The input has kindoff a funny offset rectangular pattern. I think the Wastegate is set at 5.5psi. I haven't actually used this turbo on my civic so I can't really say if it's good to use, but I've heard not to bother and just get a 14g. but if you check out the turbo projects on Homemadeturbo.com you will see that Dan used this turbo on his crx I think. Check it out!

im using one. My project will be done real soon. Everything is already on but i had a fitting break on me. You will have to rotate the housing (like most other turbos) Im excited . Its a small turbo but dan had some good timeslips in his crx. I had a downpipe flange machined as well as an adapter plate so no biggy there. If i were you then i would just start out with a T3 like everybody else and there brother. Its just that the t3 gives you a LOT of options. But, i already had the pieces machined like i said earlier. Il tell you about the turbo spool in a week or so if everything is smooth from here on out.

we will be using one on my buddies Y8 Civic its a mk2 turbo or some ---- (from a later car, a 2.5L i think), its just a Garrett/AiResearch T3 turbo. i swapped the stupid chrysler housing for a SAAB/Ford housing. the progress of this kit seams to be going very slow, hopefully a couple rides in my car will get him rolling on this project...

Hey old school, where was your adapter plate machined, and how much did you pay? and what engine are you putting this setup on?

I had a local retired man machine it for me. He did a real nice job. If you get a turbo like this one and the hf manifold then il tell you how the plans are; till then its hard to understand. Its on a D16A1(first gen. integra)
I paid $120 for both pieces to be machined. You could have a trade school do it if you know one of the studients.
