Default chipped fins

ok i just bought my 14b setup a couple of weeks ago and i was just inspecting my turbo and noticed the fins in the compressor housing are a little chewed up. this turbo has very minimal shaftplay and didnt leak a drop of oil. my question is.... Would you HMTers use this turbo? i only plan on running 8-10 pounds max. maybe ill try to get a pic tomorrow but they just feel a little chipped up. i plan on getting a filter for this thing because i dont think the guy before me used one.

i know the 14b is common cool guy........ my questions is the overall hmt opinion on using the turbo because of the barely damaged fins.

so they are messed up because something got in there where there wasn't a filter? or are they messed up because they contacted the housing?

i have one that contacted the housing on the turbine side, and every fin has a chunk out of it. if its nothing major that you dont' think woudl throw off the ballance at about 125k rpm, then run it, otherwise look somewhere else

haha exactly xternal, whats the worst that'll happen? you'll spool it up and it'll loose balanace bounce off the housing chew up the fins more before snapping the shaft and sending the exhust compressor out your zorst,

solong as its not missing any fins it should be fine man
