Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
Your ---- is soo bright and white it actually hurts to look at your pics. Not joking. But clean ride and it works then who cares who makes it.

use nothing for maximum power.....
|
Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
I hear alot of bad things about those mani's and how they crack, but they sure look nice...If nothing else get some flanges and some weld el's, and have a reputable welder make you a replica...

i'm using Ectune. this mani arent the kind that crack easy. the tubes are thick on them. here are a few pics.

Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
here are the cheap ones that crack. they are made like NA headers, and the merge cant handle the heat and weight of the turbo.

Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
Still looks a like a cdm mani, so what are the goals with the setup?

well i dont want to be full of myself and say 300whp, so i'm going to guess about 240whp at 6psi with a dyno tune. comp ratio is at 10.2:1.
|
Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
the thickest tubing dosent matter if its welded by a 11yo slope. dont get full of yourself, you bought abunch of cheap ----. this is homemadeturbo.
that being said, i have the same mani. hasent cracked yet. buy a holset for when that chingchang turbo takes a ----. ni66er. |

http://s1.promotionsupplies.com/ebay...u-mf-d16-2.jpg It will be fine if you weld the DP to the motor before the flex tube. |

Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
I had the old style, and now i've got the same as you, i haven't had an issue with either of them, for the price, i would have to crack 4 or 5 of them to be worthwile buying a Supar JDM Namebrand piece

Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
yeah, i don't plan on that turbo lasting that long. i have seen the hx35 and they seem nice, but i wonder if the hy35 would spool a little faster. also. i do plan on bracing it in some shape or form, i just haven't decided how i want to do it.

Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
sorry for the late update, i have since sold the car. and am now building a 96 dx coupe with a single slam vitara holset hmt setup in the works.
as far as a ripper vid, this is all i have. this vid was being recorded from inside an 11.88 srt-4 neon. the white hatch is mine and the middle car is an 11.99 non vtec integra. i was pushing about 15 psi on this run. my best at the track on street tires and 8 psi was 12.8 @ 113mph, 2.18 60ft. http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n...AdamCivic1.flv was taped in brazil..... sorry, i know street racing is dangerous, i do not street race anymore. this is the neon. http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f4...t=Adam1188.flv this is the teg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoQFaHwLyrk |
Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
the mani you are using is great.. thik heavy well built for cdm crap.. i used the origonal and only had cracking issues on the wastegate flange.. cant remember howmany times the wastegate would be hanging on by a vacume line.. lmao...
clean setup.. 10.XX compression should be funn.. id def get a bigger turbo and run 12psi.. holset hx 50 ;) |
Re: chinese turbo kit on a mid-hi comp lsvtec
i have been thinking of getting an he351cw for my vitara build. though i am thinking of using a SPA top mount cast mani. a guy here in ky made 440+ whp with a spa topmount on a vitara setup.

i know. duhr and thats usually what fails cause asshats dont run a restrictor ans send about 80 psi to the turbo blowing the seals. regardless of that, like i said it is still running strong.
besides, i no longer own the car. |
