On the line running to the map sensor on the firewall.

Re:check valves on crx

the map sensor only has one line runing to it. take the black cover off and look closely. youll see it.

Re:check valves on crx

ok well which one is the map sensor, you guys need to be more specific.

Re:check valves on crx

You put the check valves on the lines coming from the windshield washer squirters.

Re:check valves on crx

the MAP is the black box on the firewall behind the throttlebody. the line that goes to it attaches to the back of the intake manifold. the MAP sensor has a 3 wire plug attached to it. hope this helps.

Re:check valves on crx

if you look close enough it will say..holy ----...."map sensor" ::) if you cabnt figure this out, you need to read more and maybe turbo your car in about a year!

Re:check valves on crx

you guys need to shaddup up, he just wants some directions and you're making fun of him. if you take a good like, if is hard to identify which vacuum line leads to the map sensor because there's like 3 other lines. but the correct one is the one from the back of the intake manifold, in the middle, T that one off and your set

Re:check valves on crx

Well, I tried to help him, but if he doesn't know what a MAP sensor is or what it looks like, then he clearly needs to do some more research. :-\

Re:check valves on crx

seriosly, people need to make sure they do enough research before they do something big like turboing an engine. Thats how engines get blown, not enough research. Alot of people see things in car magazines and on the internet and say, "That's kool i'm gonna turbo my engine now."
Not saying that this guy is like that but alot of people are.

Re:check valves on crx

if its a crx, i dont even think the map sensor line goes behind the intake manifold. its the line thats like right next the the throttle body on the top, not behind

MAP

The 3 wire plug on the firewall is the MAP sensor.

Re:check valves on crx

see, there ya go!!! i knew it wasnt behind the intake manifold. its like right there next to the throttle body. in the pic, its the plastic clear clip on the bottom, not the top one (the short fat one)

Re:check valves on crx

thats strange, i thought line was leading to the map sensor also but i tried the check valves on it and the barely started and idle was shitty, i tried the line behind the intake manifold and that made idling fine, i dont know...

Re:check valves on crx

You probably hooked up yur check valves to the solenoid that sits next to the map sensor...that one has like 2 or 3 lines goin in or out. The map sensor itself should only have ONE line running into the bottom of it...unless you are like me and the map is on the intake manny itself ;D
