Default check valves

if im using a vafc to run my turbo do i need to use a check valve to relieve pressure in the intake manifold i have loked for writeups i cant find one i mite not be looking hard enough anyone got any info thanks

Check valves are only used for preventing the map sensor from seeing boost and triggering a "check engine light"
