Re: CHECK VALVES?

are you using an fmu? cause thats the only form of managment that requires this, and if so, you want to go to wal-mart and buy like 5 or 6 fish tank check valves, get your self a vaccum T and some extra vaccum hose, first cut small pieces of vaccum hose like 1/4" each and you want to connect all the check valves together with these pieces, but they all have to be facing the same direction, so that when you suck on one end they all close, and blow into the other end and they all open, then you put the vaccum T inline on the hose to the map sensor, then simply attach the check valves to the T so that the side you suck on to close them is hooked onto the T, and the other end gets left hanging, all this does is when the motor is drawing vaccum ( sucking in) the valves are shut and it run like stock, but then when boost comes in ( blowing through) the valves open up and the pressure dumps out the valves into the atmosphere before it reaches the map sensor and the ecu cant read pressure.....

Re: CHECK VALVES?

I am running uberdata but for some reason I am still getting a map cel, I ordered an safc also go tone for 50bucks from a friend...may not need but oh well...so i thought maybe the checkvalves will fix the problem...It is a d15b7 with a custom turbo kit....greddy type s bov...uberdata pm6 rich fuel program...6lbs of boost...also the BOV makes a strange pssst....pssst....pssst...release sometimes like it isnt building good pressure...from the BOV I have vaccuum line running to boostgauge with a T adapterrun into the round thing on the fuel rail that has a vacuum hose connected to the IM...(sorry for lack of better term) This does not seem right since my boost gauge is reading vacuum pressure not boost?(correct?)

Re: CHECK VALVES?

dude you need to read up...did you even enable boost and up the fuel and calibrate for the 450s? There is no way you would ever want to use checkvalves with a program like uber since it needs to see the true map sensor reading

I acutually just bought the car and it had uberdata already on it...the cel was on and nope i know nothing of uberdata have not drove the car but from his house to mine...had it a week...i have been repairing some bodywork...fixing to paint it...and get this turbo motor running right first....thats why i am asking? So how can i get rid of the map cel? and get a leaner air mixture? SAFC?

Re: CHECK VALVES?

read the engine management FAQ...you need to make changes with uberdata, not an afc (although it will work for small changes)
