CHEAPEST BOV (dual 1g?) setup for 500whp

I need to source some BOV madness for my BMW build. I will spend less then 50$ on it... so should I try to use two 1g BOVs (will it work well?) or 1 donald knock off? I'm guessing my boost level will be between 15 and 20psi but I know the hp level will be between 425 and 500whp.

Dude your shootin for 500HP and your going to cheap out on one of the most important parts of a turbo high boost system. Come on. Dual 1g's will just leak even if you crush them. Knock offs are great if you like boost leaks. almost and i say almost every single knock off BOV i've installed on friends cars leak like crazy. Run dual REAL hks SSQ's or 1 REAL tial 50mm BOV. Look at synapse engineering their BOV's are super nice and flow great and work well with any turbo app. Don;t cheap out on one of the most important parts. Knock off BOV's make look the same and sound the same but trust me they're not the same.

::) GTFO. Myself and dozens of others that I know personally... none of this my friend of a friend who knew and fucked my mom ----.... have ran RFL knockoffs without issue. These have been setups ranging from 5psi to 30psi.

TIAL KNOCKOFF HERE... Works FLAWLESSLY... 600+. Synapse overpriced, over engineered, and dont perform as well as TIAL, or the SMR TIAL knockoffs....

I thought about buying a real one, but the ching chong meow BOV works perfectly. I would not TOUCH a greddy s or ssq bov. Genuine or otherwise.

Cool ---- big poppa. Mind linking me to the one you use?

Also NOOBS.... with the stock M50 450whp is 300whp on a stock ls. So this is still a budget build.

had the same one. put it on my friends 1jz in place of his real tial 50mm. acted/reacted the same. sounded the same (matters to some). no problems with it, he couldnt tell the difference.

BTW to the idiot 60-1 or whatever the ----... The BOV is NOT one of the most important parts of a setup fucktard... Far from it, Turbo, Wastegate MANIFOLD, EMS....

i would not run one without a hard boost cut programmed into the ecu

Don't go off of my experience, I bought a known fucked diaphram'd one for penuts and tried to patch it. Plenty of people seem to have good luck with em, I just tried to be a touch too much of a cheap ass.

I agree with a boost cut to let you know if it lets go, it is chinaman you know

the difference is easily more than that depending on which ones you compare and want to go with.

boost cut is a good idea for sure. though lots of peole have no issues with them for a lot of miles... it only takes a second to stuff the engine though.

Re: CHEAPEST BOV (dual 1g?) setup for 500whp

I said what i said off of my personal experiences. I've installed SS autochrome BOV's both were HKS knock offs and they leaked boost on other turbo civics. I had a knock off greddy type-s from SS auto chrome on my SRT4 as my first BOV and it leaked like crazy and whistled all the time no matter how stiff or weak i adjusted the spring. Then once i started going over 15 PSI the damn thing would pop open and leak even worse. So i bought two REAL HKS SSQ's one for my civic and one for my SRT4 and have had no problems with them. Guess you guys have better luck with them then my friends and i have. Personally every SS auto chrome turbo kit i've installed ( on friends cars never on my own. and alll were from them or e-bay) their manifolds crack , waste gates leak or stick after the first 100 miles, i've seen waste gates fall off manifolds while driving still bolted to the flange from the manifold cracking, and the last thing i saw from them was the whole cold side of the turbo fell off the turbo while driving bending the turbine fins and you could see the bolt holes stripped out for the brakets that hold the cold side to the turbo housing. That stuff tells me it's not quality parts. the only good thing from ss auto chrome i've seen is their intercoolers thats it. I don't buy crap or cheap parts cause they will cause head aches in the long run. I'm all about home made set-up's i think spending a crap loud of money for a complete turbo kit from drag or turbonetics for 3K dollars is a joke. I've made my own for all my cars. there's more lovin involved when you build your own kit then buying one pre made plus it usually cost cheaper.

Re: CHEAPEST BOV (dual 1g?) setup for 500whp

oh and as stated above. all these problems i've said where during the first test drive on day one. This was with priming the turbo with out before start up and letting the car slowing get to operating temps before driving and not dogging the piss out of the car.
