Cheap Twins or Single Turbo Options for Ls1

Looking for some cheap factory turbos that I could use in twin or single turbo configuration to get around 600-650whp out of an Ls1.

I was thinking twin 20G out of the mitsubishi trucks but they seem few and far between in the US.

I would go with 2 t3 from like a 80's thunderbid they are .60ar comp and .63 ar turbine from the manuals. There are also some other cars these came from. Good for about 350 or so hp ea. Also alot easier to find.

if you wanted to go single you could always use a Holset turbo from a dodge ram diesel or a Garret or Borg Warner from the chevy or dodge diesels.

i would ditch the factory turbo idea and buy a nice set of used garret turbo's. the factory turbos have no aftermarket support such as flanges, adpators, etc. it would all have to be custom made. go with what is easy like a standard t3 turbo flange. there a lot of aftermarket support for them and i bet you could find turbo headers with the t3 flange ready to go.

i would go with twin t3 gt35's or a single t70 t4 turbo

The turbos from the ford 2.3t mentioned above are t3 flanged turbos. They would work for cheap, and rebuild kits for them should be easy to find; Garrett made those turbos.

hi, i have been messing with turbo charging the ls1 motors for a while now and i have to ask whats all done to the motor? if its a stock bottom end and you want it to last dont go past 500, even then if its a 98-99 style make sure you upgrade the rod and head bolts. any way to make your goal of 600 you should go with closer to a 72mm turbo, i ran a 72 on my last ls1 and my current ls6, my ls1 made 510 on 8 psi and my ls6 makes 600 on 10 with the same turbo. any way if you visit my youtube channel you can see my set up on the ls1 and ls6 my channel is projustinsane
