Cheap Turbo Build on 95 GSR

Cheap Turbo Build on 95 GSR
I want to build a budget turbo for my Integra GSR.
I was wondering if I can do it without the intercooler. How unreliable will this be? What are the chances of detonation?
I live in the central valley, an hour away from Sacramento, CA and I can't find any cheap turbos off of any cars. Our junk yards have nothing.
My budget is in the area of $200.
Anyone have any ideas of where I can get a cheap 14B or anything else that's good?
All the turbos on Craigslist and eBay cost over $100.

with a $200 limit, id say save up. Thats way to short in cash to fully put together a complete turbo system. the turbo itself is just a small part of what you would need to fully run it. I mean I know integra turbo kits are cheap but i can pretty much promise you, you wont find one for that price. Sorry to say man. Ive invested a good $4,000 into my kit if not more. Keep saving

I'm looking to do a junk yard turbo not a big Garret custom set up.

I agree with canonman the more money the better even if its just $100-$200 more I would keep saving. You would be happier with yourself in the future if you saved a little more because there are alot more parts to a fully runnable kit then just the turbo.
As for running it without an intercooler.. your looking at maybe 3-5psi boost. Beyond that you will start to cause serious damage to your turbo and most of the time your engine (watched a motor blow up in my face for running 6psi n/i). Running an intercooler is not only much safer, if you drove a n/i and then an intercooled car I promise you would notice the difference.

get everything turbo related off of a dsm you may be able to find it with your budget but dont exspect for it to run good or long at all... i put around a G in my turbo setup and its a parted together bastard child that just happened to work...so keep saving... and have fun
