Charging a D16A9

Charging a D16A9
hi guys (from a n00b in South Africa).
was just wondering if anyone out there has done a project on an A9 before.
I'm not sure if it is available in the US. From what I understand it's virtually identical to a ZC. The only 1600 motors we have in 4G's are the A7 - (SOHC non-vtec) which has long-*** gears which tends to run out of power before it runs out of revs in 5th (the missus has one of these). The other is the A9 (DOHC non-vtec), which I have, which has close ratios and conversly runs out of revs before it runs out of steam in 5th.
If anyone has boosted an A9, what is the ideal turbo to use? My major concern is the space between the radiator and manifold, which is virtually nothing!
Also, I read that the HF manifold comes off 91 CRXs? What motor specifically is it from? Our CRXs use an identical A9, which has a wierd stock 4-2 manifold, with a dual downpipe that goes into 1 further down.
2nd hand parts here are a bitch - and a used turbo would most likely come from a Euro, like a diesel Golf or perhaps a Renault or Saab even. Unfortunately we don't have any DSMs here besides a few rare Evo8's.
Thanx for any help you can provide!

do you have EDM cars i south africa?
do you guys have a 92-95 civic VEi? it is a d15z1 vtec-e engine (same as the usdm VX). these engines have about the same manifold as the usdm CRX HF. But i don't know how those work with the big radiator.
do you have saab 9000 turbo? those use garret t3 42/48 a/r...

As far as our 92-95's go, there is no d15z1. All we have is a D15(A5 i think), carb-fed SOHC, D16 A7 & A9 as i mentioned earlier. Later they decided to bore out the A9 to 1800cc. It had a bit more torque than the 1600, but it didn't feel as responsive for some reason, and had a lower redline as well.
those old Saab 9000s are around, but very few and far between. My best bet is to find a busted turbodiesel Golf or Megane - I'm busy trying to find what turbo those things run.
