charge piping: need a quick answer
 
i'm trying to decide weather to use 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch charge piping for my setup. i'm using a t3, fmic, and i'm gonna be running around 10 psi. someone help me out cause i wanna get the ---- ordered today.

yeah, most people on here use 2.5" piping. i dont think there would be a noticeable difference in spool up time between the two. if you are on a budget, just get the cheapest stuff you can find.

if you're on a budget get 2" piping for the compressor outlet and a 2 1/2" to 2" adapter so you can connect it to the intercooler or whatever size the intercooler inlet is.
Use 2 1/4" from the other end of the intercooler to the throttle body, and use a 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" adapter to connect it to the throttle body. these adapters are in any autoparts store in the exhaust section. i've heard that thinner tubbing will help with spool up time but i've also heard that from 2" to 2 1/2" makes no difference. so at this point it's just that the smaller diameter pipping costs less.

2.5 all the way, off the compressor housing you will need a little adapter to go from 2in to 2.5, its no big deal.
