okay guys.
im a plumber by trade and know by fact that pvc wont work. pvc has a tendancy to get brittle when exposed to extreme heat or cold. in the winter if you were to drop a piece of pvc on the street it highly likley to break. abs might work a bit better, but it doesnt take much heat to melt it. even when we do a ground work for a slab on grade house, we try not to lay it out in the sun too long or itll warp. you have to be carefull when soldering around abs or itll go up in flames.its a petrolium based product, so it likes to catch on fire and make black smoke. so whould i as a plumber use abs or pvc for charge piping in my turbo application? no. save the money and use some mild steel from a muffler shop. im not trying to be a dick or anything im just giving you a plumbers opinion.
btw, since the price of petrolium has gone up after the hurricanes and world disaters, the price of abs has gone waayyy up. supply shops are having a hard time keeping it in stock.

I've posted this here before, but....

this setup also had a preformed radiator hose going from the turbo to the intercooler. Just goto your local parts store and ask to look through the hoses untill you find what you need.

I used ABS (The Black Stuff) For two Years with no problems. Never went up in flames!!! Nice to put together also, I just used the proper cement and called it a day, no excessive couplers! Nice fit, easy to cut.

I'm a neurotic misanthrope by trade, and I know for a fact that PVC works fine.

You see, I clocked nearly 20K on it in my CRX.

The first foot of my charge piping was a spare steel bit of piping off a Saab, the rest was PVC.

well, i've been boosting about 7-8 pounds of boost into my 1.5 with a t25 setup and i've been using pvc piping with the cement to hold the bends together, and i've boosted fine, but reading what the plumin guy said about pvc getting brittle in cold weather, i might just go to exhaust pipes instead, but hey, if you got the time try it and see how it works! it worked for me.
