charge pipes

Hey i am sure this had been brought up before, but what is the main difference in using mandrel bend pipes and none mandrel for charge pipes, and what size of the pipe is the best to use??

There shouldnt be that much of a difference I think, there would just be a smaller diameter where the bends are. 2.25 or 2.5 is good

mandrel bends do not decrease pipe size.

Size of pipe; just size your compressor outlet and your throttle body (and intercooler if applicable). Try to use the most common size out of those items and use the fewest number of size adapters possible. My charge piping is smaller than 2" (small ass turbo).

I ran the nice crush bent piping from discount auto parts, it cost me 20 dollars to run all my piping from the turbo to the intercooler to the tb. The size pipiing i used was 2" from the turbo to the intercooler and 2.5" from the intercooler to the throttle body. i hope this helps, -Ben
