what do u guys think should i take it to a exhaust shop to have my charge pipes made or just buy some piping and make them myself? also its for a fmic... if any of u have installed a fmic on a 5g civic. what bends did u guys have to use?

do what ever is cheaper. Most peeps would just recommend going to jcwhitney.com get some mandrel bends from them and go from there. just cut them up and use silicone hosings..

Work was slow today so I bent mine up today on our exahst bender. 2 1/4 aluminized pipe, mounted my blow off valve too. They look real good I think they will flow good even with the crush style bends. I tryed to keep the smallest and least amount of bends posible using the biggest raduis shoes I had.

I used the crush style bends on the setup i just finished, its was cheaper then manderals. After a couple nice coats of spray paint they look fine.

I just made mine.I used thesehttp://store.summitracing.com/produc...earchtype=ecat.Its aluminized steel wich ill be painting gun metal.I used 1 "J" bend and 2.5 "U" bends.I over ordered so i have a few "J" bends left over.For what I used it should cost you like $50 bucks or so with free shipping if you get those summit bends.

For couplers I used straight hose from Napa auto parts.Its $13 per foot and I used 2 feet for all 6 couplers.

Weight, thats about it.... almost. I made my own cold air intake out of steel piping and double coated it w/ high temp ceramic paint and damn, that bitch was always cool to the touch after some heavy driving. I later bought an AEM thinking it would perform beter then mine, even at idle the aluminum pipes would soak up heat like a sponge. I went back to my old intake and it never let me down. All in all, I say steel makes for better intercooler piping. ;D
