Default Charge pipe ?

Where are you guys getting hoses and clamps to connect charge piping?I got mine at Home Depot in the plumbing dept. {just regular rubber for pvc pipe} and they keep coming apart at 6psi and higher. Any help would be appreciated.

I've seen people cut grooves into their charge pipes for the rubber connectors to seat into, when they don't have access to welder or whatnot to make a lip. Works pretty well.

i've also read that you can mask off the area around where you want a bead on the charge pipe. (say, 3/16-1/4") lay a thick layer of JB weld on that, then peel the masking tape off while the epoxy is still somewhat wet and let it harden. if you sand it so that the part of the rib closest to the end of the pipe is flush with the pipe, the hoses will slip on easier. make sure you scuff the pipe really well and clean with alcohol or something to make sure it's clean before epoxying.

i've heard hairspray helps. kind of makes the pipes sticky for better grip between the pipe and coupling.

someone on HT mentioned using the adhesive backed sandpaper "grip" stuff that they put on skateboards on the pipes so the rubber has something to hang on to. i don't know if the adhesive would turn gummy with the heat in the pipes though..

Thanks for the help . I will keep the couplings I have and use some of your tricks to make them stick.

Hey guys we used self tappers on the ends of the pipes.. holds 20psi just fine. Run the screw in then grind off the end that sticks into the pipe. Then just make sure the hose clamp is on the correct side of the screw.. Its a very tight fit.
