cel when boostin
i have a d16z6 head and a d16y8 bottom and p28ecu w/ conversion harness for my obd2 car
my problem is: my car only boost at 4-5 psi and i get cel in 3rd gear when boostin for a couple of seconds. isnt the stock map sensor suppose to handle 11psi? i even have a missing link. this is really confusing so pls help me guys :S |
Re: cel when boostin
oh boy...stock ecu? Plus, sounds like the missing link (which you should toss unless youre running an fmu) is in backwards

Re: cel when boostin
stock ecu but already ordered a chipped ecu. i have a fmu also. just wondering if ill still have this problem with the chipped ecu?
and why am i getting a cel when im boosting 5psi i thought stock map sensor can handle 11psi? |
Re: cel when boostin
stock map sensor read can read up to 11 psi. Stock ECU WILL NOT READ BOOST. Your CEL is most likely happening because you have installed your missing link incorrectly. Just like ghettoturbo has already told you.

Re: cel when boostin
so you have an fmu or youre using and fmu? if youre on a stock ecu do not hit boost, especially with the missing link installed correctly. then youll be putting 5psi of boost into a motor who isnt correcting for positive pressure AT ALL
