I have mine hooked up the same way except with a breather off the valve cover, either way looks good.

can you explain the line from the vc to the preturbo intake? im not sure what that device is in the middle

The device in the middle is my Turbosmart MBC. It's ran inline with the wastegate to intake mani not the valve cover and as for the blue hose, silicone only comes in bright colours for some reason and blue was the easiest on the eyes.

so why does it look like the line from your preturbo intake to your valve cover is connected to your manual boost controller? ??? ???

EDIT:nvm i now see the mbc is electrical tapped to the intake -to vc line

yeah i think i need to make one of those soon. I just disconnected my PCV valve hose for the time being because i figure it'd be bad if i pressurized the crankcase with 5psi. How come you can't just slap a filter on the PCV valve hose though?

^^
it needs a vacuum to help suck it out. er well it is supposed to have a vacuum to help pull it out. but you can have a basic setup of an open breather can sitting on it and it'll help a lil bit. ppl prolly don't just slap a filter on there because A its hard to get two, and B is gonna make a mess of the back of your block and firewall.

oki hate to sound like a retard but on a y8 the pcv valve connects to the manifold via the hose that runs through the injector cluster correct? And it's way the ---- down there? Are there any other vaccuum lines i need to disconnect or be worried about?

for a basic catch can setup the only thing you need to worry about is the pcv and the valve cover(used to connect to the stock intake pipe). when you disconnect the pcv hose from the IM make sure you put one of those rubber caps on the IM nipple so you don't have a big vacuum leak.

Couldnt you just use that port for wastegate/boost gauge instead. ;)

Your pcv is disconnected with the valve in there so it stays closed? And you have a filter on the valve cover? Its probably alright for now, but I'd get a catchcan setup in there ASAP. You may not be presurizing your valvecover/crankcase, but the crankcase needs to vent.
