One line is hooked up to my valve cover, and the other is hooked up to the black box on the back of my block. I got rid of the PCV valve.

cool. i think i'll set one up just like this for now cuz its the simplest. then maybe i'll switch to a closed can with dual vac sources(slash cut in exhaust, and line to IM with a check valve)

Have you read Dasher's recent info on H-T?

He found out that the exhaust slash cut doesn't create enough vacuum to assist in crank case ventilation.

So an open system like mine works just as well as a slash cut aided system. Just something to think about. I'm not convinced that a slashcut type system is worth the extra effort.

really? hmm i'll go read his article.
i think eventually i'd go with a dual vac source setup tho. the slash cut in the exhaust *should* create a good deal of vacuum under higher rpms, and in low rpm/idle's etc where it isn't creating much vac a line to the intake manifold would provide the vacuum. but on that line i'd put a check valve so when the IM see's boost it wouldn't push back through the setup.

This sounds like a good idea, but how do you drain it?

I had a mountain dew bottle taped to my charge pipe. it didnt really do anything exept look even more ghetto than it already was. i had a hose comming out of the valve cover into the bottle. i just cut a few holes in the bottle so it wouldnt expand. pretty funny when you popped the hood and someone was like WTF!

lol. i miss that car.
