Catch can?
I was just reading some site that says that the factory pcv system will not work with turbo. I understand that part, but to fix this do I need a catch can? or can I just install a breather filter on the valve cover and unhook the line that goes to the manifold? I haven't seen any other turbo cars on here with catch cans so I'm guessing theres another way.

Re:Catch can?
I personally hate catch cans, I think they're useless and take up valuable space. Get a crankcase evac kit out of summit. Put something on your car that will actually increase engine performance and not clutter up your engine bay with an overpriced gay shiney box

Re:Catch can?
Are these parts necesarry? I am a college student on a very tight budget and ghettofied is my middle name so is there an easier way?
and by easier i mean cheaper. |
Re:Catch can?
All u need is to leave the pcv attached to the hose comeing from your manilfod just disconnect it from your valve cover. put a breather (the little baby filter) in the valve cover. what dude was trying to sell you basically an over expencive & pretty pcv system

Re:Catch can?
I'm ghetto...I just left the damn thing open ;D
My second turbo setup and I still leave it open. In my experience it never spit out any oil. Weird though...but i'm glad. |
Re:Catch can?
i took out the pcv and just stuck a filter there and my engine bay had oil all over in no time at all. just use a hose that goes from the valve cover to plastic bottle somehow. it'll catch all the oil vapor and still vent pressure from the crankcase.
