Cars With T3/T4 stock?
 
Hey,
I was wondering what cars came stock with T3/T4 hybrid turbos?... Looking to build a junk yard turbo setup ;D

actually the GN came with a t3/t4 hybird;

following specs

To4 compressor .60 trim.
To3 turbine .63

not sure what the differntial pressure ratio is on that turbine hosuing but it should be the smae if not similar to the SVO and otehr .63 turbine housing.

thought it was a T3 Super 60

SVO 2.3l 4 cylinder mustang and the super coupe thunderbirds used a t3 s60.

that GN turbo would be way to big for most any honda motor unless you are pusshing up like 500hp +

GN has a 57-trim compressor. The SVO turbo isn't a "Super 60" by design, but it may as well be. The super 60 only flows a little bit more.

60-trim with .60/.63 housings.

So to say a honda shouldn't use a GN turbo is like saying a honda REALLY shouldn't use a SVO turbo ( since the SVO turbo is bigger ). I plan on replacing my TD04L-13T with my SVO turbo on a SOHC.

a 60 trim t04b housing is mucho bigger then a 60trim t03 housing the wheel trim is alot different to.


i have here in my hand a stock gn turbo t4/t3 hybrid clearly indicated in the garret stamping is
to4b .60 on compressor
to3 .63 turbine.

it is what it is. a to4b 60 trim is like 590cfm a to3 s60 is around 480 both at 70% efficency mind you.

Holy ----, all this time I thought the GN was a straight T3....tsk tsk

That compressor would be both low $$$ and very funcional on a mid/high boost Bseries.

Can you post detailed pics of the turbo/markings? Good stuff here.

I knew a local guy who had a GN Turbo on a Single cam non-vtec, and it was making around 200ish whp, the spool wasnt that bad either.

Im going out of town for a few weeks. when i get back ill dig this thread up and post pictures of the marking etc on the turbos.

DAMN IT SEAN !!!

Bryan = 0 !!! And worst of all its about GNs !!!

Footnote: My friend changes his answers every time I ask him a GN question..

It is a T3/T4, it also has a round flange for better spool up, square flanges I'm told have more lag, but that may just be a myth...
