Car Getting Slower

Ok my car has been turboed for about 6 months now. It was ------- fast when I first got it tuned on the dyno but now its slowly getting slower. I think for sure that the clutch is slipping cuz my engine will redline in second before even hitting 60 mph and I can smell the clutch on a "good" day. I didn't know if my Fedrel Mugel Rings mught have something to do with it. I don't think that they are handleing the boost to well. What rings should I put back in there to stop this from happing or is it something else. I would like to know because I am loosing to mustangs again! Bahhh!!!!1!!

If you really think it's your rings, then do a compression check. Does the car smoke?

If your rev's jump up fast, but your not going any faster, then you need a new clutch.

Or you could just be getting used to the power. Boost is like crack, you'll allways want more to feel the high.

Well I know its getting slower because it would burn out in first and half of second and now it will barely chirp in first off the line. I will do a compression check on saturday What rings would you guys suggest it thay are bad?

How to check if your clutch is really slipping....

1. Pull the E-brake
2. Put the car in 3rd or 4th gear
3. Rev the motor to around 3-4k RPM's
4. Slowly let the clutch out as you hold these RPM's until it reaches the top...

if the car doesn't die by the time the pedal is up...then your clutch is done.

how much power are u making? and are u on a stock clutch? stock pistons? b series or d series engine?

put it in 5th and do a pull up a hill, if the rpms rise fast and ur still going slow ur clutch is shot.

if u are running stock pistons and not making gobs of power just run stock rings.
