can't separate the exhaust housing on a Holset I just got, need some ideas

A mix of pb blaster and rust eater does the trick for me.

Heat it up and melt a candle into it. The wax will wick in as a liquid, then as it cools, it expands, I use this trick for broken bolts all the time.

Lol, it will come free. Keep spraying it and hitting. Heat it up if needed.

A good trick has well is if you have a bucket of used oil dump the turbo in it for a day or so

A torch to the exhaust housing + PB blaster has worked for me.

just use a hammer and a flat head and just tap it between the v band and it should pop loose

5lbs Hammer and don't be afraid to swing. Holset's are terrible for rusting together, if you have time you can do all the soaking stuff, if you just need it apart HIT IT! it will be fine.

The turbine housing on an H1C isn't a v band.
