Can I use this oil line???
I just recieved my oil line from Mcmaster. It is a steel braided line but the inner hose is not rubber. It's plastic. The hose is rated for max temp of 450f and max pressure of 3000 psi. Will it melt or not?The hose will be used for oil feed and water in/out on a turbo.

Re:Can I use this oil line???
450 degrees is more than enough, but is it rated for oil?

Re:Can I use this oil line???
• Hose: PTFE
• Braid: Type 304 stainless steel • Vacuum Rating: See table • Temperature Range: -65° to +450° F No special equipment needed to build your own assembly-just cut the hose length you need and attach the couplings using simple bench tools. Hose and couplings are sold separately. Keep a supply of hose and couplings on hand so you can quickly solve your hose-replacement problems and reduce equipment downtime. Hose is the same smooth-bore PTFE hose featured in the assemblies above. Choose either brass body couplings with zinc-plated steel nuts, or Type 303 stainless steel body couplings with stainless steel nuts. Hmm,doesn't say.Maybe I'll try it out and check the hose after running it for about 30 minutes or so. |
Re:Can I use this oil line???
well what equipement is the hose for?
