A/C

Im close to putting everything on my car turbo wise. My question is if the manifold is now under pressure will the vacuum lines for such as a/c controls, brake booster and what not still work? If not what is needed to be done so that the A/C still works and so the power brakes still work.

Re:A/C

All that ---- will still work the same. No problem

I can understand the brakes, because you would only use them when you're not on the gas. I wonder what keeps positive pressure from screwing with the AC.

Re:A/C

thats a good question since on factory turbo cars like my vr4 there are check valves in the lines

Re:A/C

they all have check valves

Yes dude, the AC will not be affected at all, since how would the pressure of the manifold even be a bit related to the AC system? they dont even tap into each other at all. The AC system is driven off the AC pump. The brake system is off 1 vaccuum line from the intake manifold that has a huge ass check valve that will not let boost hit. (all cars have these)

Not a wuss just comfortable. Your are proboly one of the dumbasses on the road on a 100 degree day with windows down for that extra 2 ponies while your girlfriend follows in the car behind you. Its all about the image.

Re:A/C

Image? No. It's need for speed.

Have fun mounting A) using a smaller turbo than you want because you want to sacrafice for A/C or B) mounting your turbo cock-assed so you can use it with your A/C.. again, it's up to you. Have fun. I live in Kansas City, not a high demand for A/C.. To each his own.

No the header and downpipe leave more than enough room ot have dinner in. In florida stop and no go traffic 150 in car heat only morons would go windows down cause yo ass aint movin at 5 in tampa. And if you do its no more than 10. Not to be mean to you but You can turn ac off if ya gots to go fast.

Hehe, that sucks. I'm not movin' to Flordia! Hahaha.. well, hot chicks.. hrm.. maybe I might. ;)

Well, I weighed all of my A/C components when Itook them out and it was about 37lbs. That's nothing to shake a stick at.

With D series motors, every pound counts. ;D

Re:A/C

The air intake temp sensor can go on the intake pipe, close to the throttle body, I have seen a few guys do that without problems.
