What do you mean?
A manual boost controller controls the boost through manipulating the wastegate. How would blocking off the wastegate be efficient in anyway? Unless you mean blocking off the internal gate in favor of an external controlled by an EBC.

you will blow your ----. while driving you wont be able to react fast enough to control the boost. best thing is keep your wastegate and use a manual boost controller to get the boost you want

well i got to figure out how to hook the wastegate up......it has a vacuum nipple on top and one on the side.....doesnt one go to the manifold and the other go to the BOV....or to the boostcontroller

pretty much. is it an external wastegate? if it is and you want the factory set boost level then just use the one on the side with a hose from the manifold or the compressor housing. if you want a higher psi then you have to run a boost line to the top of the wastegate that has a small amount of boost. that will make the wastegate stay closed till a higher boost level.

if it is an internal wastegate then its the same, but reverse the hoses. if that makes sence then cool, if you need more in depth then take a pic of it and then i can say for sure

if the wastegate has a 7psi spring then just connect a line from the intake manifold to the nipple on the side

for you BOV make sure it is a dedicated line to the BOV. dont T it off of anything else. it wont actuate fast enough
