Default Built ZC project update

Here is where the project is right now. AC fits. I need to order my mandrel bends. What would be the differences between the MANDREL-BENT ALUMINIZED TUBING and Heavy-duty 16-gauge T304 stainless steel, both from JC Whitney?

Rollerwaves
Eagle rods
ARP head studs
SS valves/rebuilt ported head
Apexi D series turbo kit (IHI dual BB turbo)
ZDYNE gold w/450cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
PWR FMIC

I'll get the whole list together when the project is done and do a write-up.

Comments and advice welcome.

For all the nice stuff you've got on that thing, I would go with the stainless...(no chance of rust inside the pipes) as long as they are mandrel bent.

Don't make me feel guilty and broke guys! I guess I shoudn't mention the kaaz lsd and the progress coilovers... It has been a couple years in the making though.

I was thinking about getting the tubing coated the same as the mani to fight corrosion, but I hadn't thought about rust on the inside.

Any opinions on where to bump up the charge piping from 2" (from the turbo) to 2 1/4" (IC inlet)? I was thinking of bumping it up just before the U bend that will be coming out that hole in the front framing. Probably doesn't really matter I guess.

Any suggestions besides JC whitney for couplers and bends? I already found out that CCA doesn't have 2 1/4" bends...

If I were you I would go with aluminized tubing and get it powdercoated. It would probably be cheaper in the long run. jung4g does it, write him and get a cost. his email is fried_rich@hotmail.com

man...if i had a setup where i put that much time and money in it i would go and spend the extra bucks and get aluminum charge pipes.

Aluminzed and just mild steel are different b/c when its aluminzed it is less likely to rust. straight aluminum will never rust. get the aluminum pipes...

Thanks for the advice guys. Went with SS from Burns Stainless. Still working on the intake mani pipe.
