I have 2 good D16 cranks right now, but I'm up in Canadia land and shipping would be a bitch.

PM me if you're seriously out of local options.

Hav you torn apart the bottom to make sure its a rod bearing

Re: Budget Z6 made 309.9/250. Xenocron Tuned.

Like I said the car isnt going to see any attention for about a month or so because im in the process of moving.

When I move Ill have my own garage to pull the car apart in.

So im not sure its a rod bearing. All I did was look under the VC for a broken retainer or valve spring.

Do the TT rods still need to be honed to fit the wrist pins ? I probably will just go with the cheapest set I can get, if I even need a full set.

I do have a spare Y7 crank, just unsure if I want to use it.

BTW thanks Steve and Minor, ill let you guys know.

Assume that you will have to hone some of the rods. You may get lucky and not have to. I only had to hone one rod in my set.

You can easily do it yourself with a brake cylinder hone.

I had a set of TT i beams years back and they all needed to be honed to fit the pins.

Its really not a big deal though so Ill get whatever is cheapest.

Damn you were doing all of this without your own garage. Sound like me when I was in college doing engine swaps either on the side of the double wide in dirt or section 8 housing under the street lights.

Ive done headgaskets and trannies in the snow.

But most of the work ive done on this car has been @ my shop where I work. (honda dealer)
