broken boost gauge ??
 

hello everybody
i got a racetech boost gauge and i think it is broken.


when i suck with my mouth from the vacuum tube the needle goes down to vac but when i hold the air the needle goes up back to 0.

is it suppose to be like that?

I think your mouth has a vac leak. ;D

it`s prob.ly that you couldn`t suck long enough to hold vaccum.

if you suck, thats vac. it only goes to boost if it see's positive pressure. which will happen when its on ur car if ur boosted. at idle or normal drivign its gonna be in vac or around 0. man ur weird.

as long as you keep it only on the gauge, it's all good. I don;t wanna read any "How to tell boost by blowing and Tickling balls" threads. ;D

real funny guys....

imagine this situation...

lets say i sucked the nipple and got to -0.5 bar but when i clog the nipple with my tongue the needle goes back to 0.

Very scientific method. Hook up a vaccum pump to it. Maybe your tongue has a hole in it?

2" charge pipes from turbo to IC and 2.5 from IC to TB
fasturbo oil lines
hks super bov(old school)
this boost gauge and a autometer A/F gauge.

8) Just wait to put it on. I've actually never read off someone having a broken boost gauge. I think that's pretty rare. But if your still skeptical, just send it to crx2fast

yeah its slow.... but i think its gonna like to boost....
easly kills d15's and auto d16's.

ha ha yeah i sold it for 400 shekels its like 90 bucks..... (pepole in israel are suckers ;))
and yeah i have a second empty box there....

you don't need to have boost for the gauge to work hook it up and see. If you just want to see it work plug it into a vacume line and it should read around -20
