hello everybody
i got a racetech boost gauge and i think it is broken.


when i suck with my mouth from the vacuum tube the needle goes down to vac but when i hold the air the needle goes up back to 0.

is it suppose to be like that?

I think your mouth has a vac leak.

 

it`s prob.ly that you couldn`t suck long enough to hold vaccum.

 

if you suck, thats vac. it only goes to boost if it see's positive pressure. which will happen when its on ur car if ur boosted. at idle or normal drivign its gonna be in vac or around 0. man ur weird.

 

as long as you keep it only on the gauge, it's all good. I don;t wanna read any "How to tell boost by blowing and Tickling *****" threads.

imagine this situation...

lets say i sucked the nipple and got to -0.5 bar but when i clog the nipple with my tongue the needle goes back to 0.

 

Very scientific method. Hook up a vaccum pump to it. Maybe your tongue has a hole in it?

 

I would trust your mouth or tongue..............just run it and see
