Default bov question. blitz

i recently bought a jdm blitz off of a rb20. I took the bov apart to clean it up. I noticed the piston seems stuck. My old DSM 1g blow off valve would release if I pressed on it. The piston at the bottem doesnt budge what so ever. Is it even supposed to? Im not very familiar with these. Any help or knowledge would be appreciated. thanks

It should be really hard to compress, adjust it to its softest setting and see if you can, you could also try hooking it up to a vacuum source and try pushing it in and if you can you can think it might be bad. But over all you are not going to learn mushc by just pushing it with your fingers. Hook it up and see if it works, my old blitz was more of a high pressure BOV, beign that low pressure, under 17lbs would not really open it up but anything higher would have no problem.
