Default BOV problem

Hey I'm new on this site and I thought maybe some of you could help me out.
I have a 89 civic std with a custom mitsu set-up on a d16z6, 14b, stock intercooler, crushed stock 1g dsm bov. Now when I have my hood up and I move the throttle a little bit I can feel air suck in from the bov. I was told that this is alright because when I'm hitting boost air doesn't suck in from the bov. But how in the hell am I supposed to check if air is comming in from the bov when I'm hitting boost without having to go to the dyno. I want to buy another 1g bov but what if the same ---- happens. It also doesn't sound anything like a dsm bov it has a high pitch whistle kind of like a videogame. I get alot of compliments on the bov sound, but I don't care how it sounds I care that it works properly. So what do you guys think, is it normal for my bov to suck in air, what about the sound? I'll post a pic and a clip of my bov sound.
you might have to turn the volume up a lil

wtf! if you don't know there's no need to be a dick homie, FYI I'm not white, what made you think that anyway?
I asked a simple question that's what I thought this forum was for. So please if you're just going to be a tard don't reply. If I knew the answer to my question I wouldn't have posted dumbass. Cmon now don't let this be a flaming thread. BTW you're going to have a baby bother, see I get laid too

I'm pushin 8lbs if it sounds alright then maybe I have nothing to wory about. What about the air coming in from the bov, is that normal?

Like I said before, I'm new so I haven't searched anything, didn't even know there was a search feature. If any of you guys can link some other threads similar to this one I'd appreciate it. I'll also use the search feature.

yes it is normal for air to pass thru ur valve when ur at idle if air didnt pass thru then ur car would stall...and i highly doubt that at full throttle it stays open...i have a turbo xs type s bov and when im at idle u can see it flicker open as well...u have nothing to worry about...shoot for 10psi then ur valve will sound nice

thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. I'm going back to the dyno soon to up my boost to 12lbs. I'm going to try to hit a 12 sec 1/4 with slicks and some torco. I'll either hit it or blow my motor, doesn't really matter if it blows z6's are a dime a dozen
