BOV MOUNTING??
 

My intercooler has about 1ft of piping before it gets to my airbox and its in a u shape what would the best place to mount my bov?
would turbo surge be a factor? ???

uuhhh....why dont you just mount it where everyone does, right before the throttle body? seems pretty logical to me ::)

um ya dude the air box is before the throttle body ::)
the air box sits right on top of the throttle body ::)

Mount it on your exhaust manifold, duh! j/k Anyway, mount it anywhere between the turbo and the throttle body , so you can release the pressure before it backs up into the turbo.

If your asking if you can mount it on the pipes that are on your intercooler, yes thats fine. Just cut a groove in the piping.. sit the bov on there as straight as possible and jb weld it sealed. The idea you have will work fine

Can i mount it before the IC?
is turbo surge , when the turbo gets air pushed back on the compresser side (reverse flow)?
1.if not what is it?
2.how does it happen? how do you stop it? ???

just put the ------- BOV anywhere after the ------- compressor side of the turbo, you ----, it don't matter anyway, you don't even need a ------- BOV, unless your gona run a ton of boost, like ------- ton, ---- a ton, just ---- it, just ------- mount the BOV, who the ---- cares what compressor surge is, go fuckyourself.

ive gone without a bov for a little while, but i would recommend it for any boost level. they are cheap

When the throttle body closes boost builds up behind it. I'd put the BOV a few inches away from the tb.

I Fabbed up an air box over the T/B which is mounted horizontily i was thinkin of putting it there on the flat surface of the box, sideways!!

drill a hole and put a whole shitload of ductape around it, and then when you want it permanent slap a ton of jb weld around it ;)
