My intercooler has about 1ft of piping before it gets to my airbox and its in a u shape what would the best place to mount my bov?
would turbo surge be a factor?

um ya dude the air box is before the throttle body
the air box sits right on top of the throttle body

 

Why dont you post a pic of your engine bay?....Might give people something to work with then.

 

Mount it on your exhaust manifold, duh! j/k Anyway, mount it anywhere between the turbo and the throttle body , so you can release the pressure before it backs up into the turbo.

 

If your asking if you can mount it on the pipes that are on your intercooler, yes thats fine. Just cut a groove in the piping.. sit the bov on there as straight as possible and jb weld it sealed. The idea you have will work fine

Can i mount it before the IC?
is turbo surge , when the turbo gets air pushed back on the compresser side (reverse flow)?
1.if not what is it?
2.how does it happen? how do you stop it?

 

just put the ------- BOV anywhere after the ------- compressor side of the turbo, you ----, it don't matter anyway, you don't even need a ------- BOV, unless your gona run a ton of boost, like ------- ton, ---- a ton, just ---- it, just ------- mount the BOV, who the ---- cares what compressor surge is, go fuckyourself.

 

How much boost till a bov is needed??
