bov on intercooler
So I was thinking about putting my bov on my intercooler(dsm bov on srt4 intercooler). Then I was thinking.... In the winter time up here we get lots of snow and -30celcius weather. With the cold temps and snow flying into my front mount, is there a possibility to freeze bov causing it not to opperate right?

Re: bov on intercooler
yes very possible, minds under the hood and i live in quebec.. we also get very cold weather, anyways when it was really cold outside my bov wouldnt open.. it would take about 10-15minutes before it unthawed from the engine heat. so if u put it in front it will probably also freeze easier.. and have little to no heat to unthaw it.

Re: bov on intercooler
Its cold here in n.y. too. My BOV is under the hood and has a brass piston. It doesnt even have to be used or get snow on it. if its below zero outside it doesnt work. The brass piston swells and siezes in the bore. If you make big boost and do get it to pop cold its going to score the piston and ruin your BOV anyway. MORAL OF THE STORY?? Only a moron drives a turbocharged, 2wd car in the winter!!!! :y
