BOV
two questions...do you NEED a bov for a turbo app?
and i will get back to you on the other one because i forgot it... ;D |
Re:BOV
you don't have to have one, but it's a lot better for the life of the turbo and the spool time. you can find so many cheap ones these days, you would be kind of dumb not to run one when you could find one for 10 bucks. :-\

Re:BOV
Not if you are DIESEL... :P
|
Re:BOV
uhh, same principal applies to turbo diesel as it does to turbo gas engines! about the only time you can get away with it is if you have an automatic.. and even then its still a good idea.

Re:BOV
stop being so cheap and get a BOV, ur turbo will be alot happier longer. cuz' when u hear the feed back in the turbo and have it tear it up, u are gonna be pissed at ur self.

Re:BOV
as a general rule, if you cant afford the basic components in boosting, you shouldn't be boosting.
|
Re:BOV
i NEVER said i was NOT going to buy it, i was just asking..."is it a necessity" wow :o ::)
|
Re:BOV
several cars that are factory turbocharged did not have them.
but eventually they started to use them on later years. |
Re:BOV
you can buy a bov that doesnt do the "pshht" thing right? Get like a factory bov from another car?
|
Re:BOV
most bov's if you vent them directly to the air are going to make a little sound, there are some quiet ones out there though. You can reroute the air from the bov back into the intake and that should quiet it down a bit.
