Ok I've had this Garrett T4 (.60) laying around for about a year now and finally decided to turn it into a T3/T4. The Turbo is brand new never used, I picked it up for 2 trashed LS Integra trannys and a cracked B20 block, don't know how I mannaged that but ok. Anyway my homeboy donated an old T3 (Nissan 300ZX) turbo so I could use the exhaust houing. Now I can do one of two things; A. Use the stock housing and exhaust turbine wheel from the T3, or B. bore the T3 housing to fit the T4 turbine wheel and shaft, (which is brand new). I will be using the T4's guts since they are identical and again, brand new. I need to know if it is better to bore the T3 exhaust houing for the bigger turbine or leave use the stock T3 turbine.

By the way some one told me about a trick to reduce lag time, something about cutting 3 groves somewhere in the compressor housing. Does anyone have any info on this mod?

I would leave the t3 housing, Its already nicely sized for and you dont want to ---- anything critical up, and with this mod theres a good chance you will. If you want to know how to reduce lag, pm me and ill give you some info
