Bored so I tried a different manifold.
Well I actually woke up early this morning at 6am and decided I had time to throw some manifolds together. I was bored making logs and Ram horns so I tried this type here. I started to make one that was different but it ended up looking like BBKA's I think. Anyway I think I am going to run it on my car. I like the look of it. So much for being orignal.
I made these 4 this weekend.
Thinking a top mount or a sidewinder of sorts next. Its more fun to work out fitment than to make the same stuff over and over again!

Didnt really think about selling them. It took a while to make but if I were to do it again it would take less time. I guess in the $325 range. The collector takes a while to make. I guess if people had a genuine interest I would build a few.

Re: Bored so I tried a different manifold.
hey dave, you wanna be really different?
i need a jeep 4.0L 6 cylinder manifold jig. Basically something built off of a cherokee, that I can bolt the head flanges to, bolt the turbo flange to, and route piping on and weld it all up. I want the jig to take into account obstacles like the driver side motor mount, and I'll have to think in a way to factor in the intake manifold being on top of it.
The more I think about it tho, the more I think its gonna be a bad idea cause of heat issues. Might be better to just pipe route it to the passenger side, like the 505 kit.
I'm working on tracking down flanges now. It's gonna be weird tho, the head flange is 3 pieces.

I was toying with the idea of boosting my XJ when I got it. I strongly recommend the 505 route to the passenger side. It will save you a lot of headaches. Then all you need is mandrel bends and a few flanges.

but I guess its a decent idea based on the heat a turbo puts off being so close to the intake.
