Boosting my D16Z6 the HMT way

Alright, so I got a 93 si hatch with the stock D16Z6 in it. It's got 275xxx kms so that's about 160xxx miles. I want to boost it and go pretty ghetto on the setup, just cheap. I know, yeah it won't be too reliable, but with a decent tune I think it can last me 10xxx kms. I just need something more to last me while I build my ls/vtec turbo. So here's my list of what I'm planning on using, please say whatever you think. Thanks in advance.

1. Turbo(probably a 14b from pick n pull)
-will use internal wastegate
2. intercooler(from Ford Probe or something like that)
3. charge piping (can I use thick rubber all around?)
4. dsm injectors(what size?)
5. dsm bov
6. std manifold(from any EF hatch right?)
-probably need to get custom made adapter plate
7. oil line and oil drain line(can I use rubber again?)
8. water lines (where do these tap into?)
9. can I chip and tune ecu with crome by myself? (very computer inclined)

If you guys could let me know your thoughts that would be awesome. My main concerns are; can I use rubber tubing for charge piping, where does water line tap into, what gauges do I need and how do they hook up?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm a complete noob, but I am to this turbo thing. I've done tons of research, just need some fine details answered.

By rubber you mean something like radiator hose? That stuff works good. I like it.

For oil lines just use a length of brake line if you want a really solid cheap solution. That ---- works great. Hose will cost more and could leak.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Just read more, and post porn.

Thanks E, that's the kind of answer I was looking for. The rubber can withstand the heat? I'm thinking make it fully out of that, so there won't be any clamps or such besides the BOV and where it connects to IM and Intercooler.

WTF are you talking about with the rubber charge piping your freaking nagger?? block off the water line on the turbo. gather all your parts and start stapping ---- together.

no need for coolant lines to your turbo.

you CANT tune the car yourself unless you have a Dyno (or get someone with experience to help you tune your timing)
trust me, you cant tune your timing yourself unless you have experience or a dyno

basemaps work fine.. you just have to try a few or edit one.

Dyno is not needed. JD street tuned my teg, then dyno tuned it and got like 6 more horsepower.
But this guy probably needs someone else tuning your right.
