boosting issues

my ---- is acting up on me, if i try to crank the boost over 7psi the car will start popping and breaking up and stuff. the set up is
d16z6, t25 turbo, starion ic, dsm 450's, crome p06 ecu w/o vtec.

i've checked all my fuel lines and made sure i did it right, i changed spark plug wires, plugs, cap and rotor. someone told me it might be my whole distributor. wht do you guys think?

Re: boosting issues

using the ngk vpower plugs at .44 gap, stock map sensor(dosent the stock map sensor hold up to about 10 lbs of boost?). im using a autometer uultralite boost gauge.

Re: boosting issues

i ran 11 pounds on a stock map sencer and i had that problem at about 44 gap so i gaped to 29 and that didnt happen again but i wouldnt advise you to run more then 10psi on a stock map sencer anyways try gapping lower and go from there

Re: boosting issues
