my boy has an eg6 running b20 vtec turbo when he moves off the car tends to pudder and when he gets up to 5k it pops when he switches gears please let me know what could be the problem does it need more fuel or the timing is bad or can it just need tuning please let me know asap.

 

is he tuned ??
popping is spark cutting out. what spark plugs is he using ??

A B20 VTEC turbo isn't going to live long enoph to make it worth messing with anyway. Unless that bottem end is built. Sounds like a tuning issue to me.

wahtd you use for a crank and all? whats the compression on that motor? 10.0-10.3? depending on head gasket thicknesses but.. check your plugs and did you go any colder? sounds like too much fuel out of boost? idk just a sugestion.. im just a dumb noob

 

btw like all these guys said need more info what you're tuning with what are you runnin for air fuels? and such..
