Default Boosting a 93 DX Motor

ive been having a hell of a time trying to find a Sohc vtec motor (in good conditition at least) here in philly, my cousins next door shop (known them for a while) is selling me a 93 dx motor with 34k!!! miles original papers, this motor is clean as hell i could eat of this thing, for 300 dollars. everything included, warranty, they would even install it in my 91 crx si.. my question is... would it be wise to buy this, install it and boost it or just wait out for a sohc vtec and then save my pennies again for boost?

would these motors perform good at 8psi or so.
im only looking to hit high 13's in my car.

whats in your car right now?

We boosted a D15b2 at the track pretty hard.. 11psi, and could only hit 14.0 (but that was with a shitty *** clutch)

A friend of mine boosts a non vtec d16 with a big 16g at 10psi and put down 193hp/197tq, running a 13.5 at the track on street tires with a shitty 2.5 60'. The car has been up and running for more than a year now.(its for sale now) The 1.5 shouldnt be too far away?
