Default Boosted, now overheating

Ok, so ive only been boosted one day so i havnt done much checking, but for some reasion my car is overheating. Im useing a half sized ratiator, and im going to check tommorow for a blown h/g with a leak down tester if its not a blown h/g im going to get a dualcore radiator. Im just looknig for anything that can cause overheatnig on a boosted motor.

its a d16a1 in a 1g crx, with a k26 turbo. NO i/c runing 8 psi. Half rad and turboedit fuel management with 450cc injectors. Only running 86 octane now, because it was what was left in the tank.

Thanks for the help

uhhh.... are you pinging the ---- out of that?
You should probably get lots of quality gas in their with octane booster and get an intercooler before you waste your time and money.

i had that same problem when i first put my turbo on my car - it ran fine first, then with boost it overheated. turned out to be the headgasket. apparently it was on its last legs, that extra pressure from boost just sent it over the edge. replaced the headgasket with a cometic and we're good to go now

but thats just it... i just replaced it with an oem honda head gasket a few months ago, it doesnt have 3000 miles on the new h/g. oh and i do have my fan on consistantly, and i have a gutted thermostat.

Tommorow im goin to do a leakdown test, hopefully it will be ok.
