Should I put a intercooler on this setup, im already runnin plenty of hp, but could add a little? If so which one should i use. Keep in mind its on a 1984 Blazer, not limited for room. Also i just bought a HKS blow off valve, where on the filter does it mount, cant seem to find any openings?

Well an intercooler will cool the air, obviously, and the cooler the air, the denser it is, leading to better combustion I believe, which could easiliy enable you to increase your HP. I think I would run it.

Well my electric fan cools the air pretty good as it is but an intercooler would probably cool the air alot better, thanks. I've got an extra radiator laying around, would it be alright to just go ahead and use that instead of an overpriced intercooler?

the guy at the shop said i have to be careful cause i could blow my motor. i dont have a boost guage but its prob putting out like 5psi. its really intimidating to rev my engine. wait till bov goes on.

im looking to run mid to low 12's hopefully the intercooler will get me there. Do you think i will need slicks?>

That is a real turbo, don't underestimate it. I'll put down some serious numbers once i get it on a dyno and get the carb tuned right.

My turbo is real too, it spins just like yours, plus we both know my air filter is in way better condition so im obviously getting alot more air than you are. :y

Yeah you have got to be joking. No offense but your not making any kind of extra power with that thing you would be lucky if your putting out 1 psi let alone 5. How much did you pay for that thing?

I'm sure im putting out alot of extra power, its fast. I didnt pay anything for the turbo, i pulled it off of my neighbors Bayliner, im probably going to go over later on this week and puck up the other one so that I am running twin turbo. I will be seeing some serious hp gains. I will post a pic once i get the kit finished.

you mush have that motor built up pretty good to handle that kind of turbo power, i'm pretty sure it is close to qualifying for the fastest veichle here.

Its funny how pissed all you guys get. Im just messin around, its an elsectric turbo from ebay that i got like 3yrs. ago when people thought that they worked. It doesnt do ---- for my car other than help it breathe a little better and run smoother. I actually want to turbo my setup but dont know if the motor would handle it, I was thinking just one big single turbo, but i doint know much about turboing a carb'd motor, much les this old pos.

it actually was pretty funny. but i have a turbo s10 project. and i came in here hoping to find useful info.. if he wanted to joke arround he could have posted it in the gd. then it would have been funny. but posting it in fi? come ------- on..

turboing a carb is actually pretty easy. carb will automatically adjust afr per amount of boost up to a certain point. so just up the psi till she's too lean then turn it down a tad..

get a higer capacity fuel pump. and some 350 or 454 injectors and u can turn the boost up even more..

if the carb is like a tbi.. wont take more than 6psi before fuel starts spewing out the side.
