Boost without missing link on fmu setup?

o.k. stupid question. i just got everything done on my gsr setup and i just wanted to take it down the street. problem is, i have misplace (!@#$$#@! >:() my missing link. is it ok to drive the car briefly without it? do i need to remove the map sensor and put a cap on the manifold so the most pressure the sensor sees is atmospheric? thanks.

I'm pretty sure it will through the ECu off (Cel).Just buy some check valves at the hardware store.

check valves only work on cars with maps that arent on the tb...it should work but it will throw a cel as soon as you get on the gas most likely

you can take the map sensor off, put a little nipple on the top of the t-body and run a vacuum line to it, and on that line, you can put some check valves, el-cheapo style,

Otherwise when you go drive it, right when the map sees over 3-4psi the CEL is gonna come on, and throw the ecu in jackoff mode. and going to run like ----.

thanks guys. yeah, i tried it last night and i definitely got a check engine light as soon as i hit about 3-4 pounds. it boosted up to 8 before i let off (no intercooler or bov; bastards at the speed shop down the road told me the deltagate was set to 4.5 lbs!) ran well on boost though. lucky i didn't blow it :o
