boost spikes when its cold? and other probs...
Well guys I never did try that mbc inside the car and probably wont.
I'm finding that when its cold out I Get boost spikes to almost 10psi when I should be running about 6. I beleive the problem is that I have about 4ft of vac hose because i made my MBC come out a little bit into the engine bay for easy access. I really only get this creep when the weather is cold or so it happens most of then. Its also causing me to missfire when I hit anything above 6psi and I'm not sure why...... When I go home, probably tomorrow sometime I'll try to shorten that hose as much as I can and see if the problem still occurs. I'm also having another problem when the engine is cold. Its been this way ever since i began boosting. What happens is unless the engine is really nice and warm I'll get into the gas and all of a sudden its like the car flooded out or the injectors clipped and stuck open. I have to keep reving the car or get into the boost again for it to run right.... it just spits and spudders otherwise. It sucks having to wait so long use WOT :( Anyone else ever have that problem? |

My car does the same thing in cold weather. Normally i run 10psi and when it's cold out I get up to around 12psi.
