Default Boost question

(Puts up flame shield) OK in the morning my car will boost a solid 5 PSI (according to my gauge) and in the afternoon it only boosts 4, then later in the night it'll boost 5 again. WTF is going on here. I was thinking that the cooler air was denser and easier to compress, but reguardless the turbo should compress any temperature air until the wastegate stops it right? I thought my intake was possibly too small but even screened off it does the same thing. And i checked my vac lines and everything looks good. This ever happen to anyone else?

mech boost gauges aren't the most accurate so it all could just be a coincidence unless it happens all the time

yeah i know they're not realy accurate, but still it seems kind of weird that it would be a coincidence. Maybe i should monitor it through the VAFC for a couple days and see if that supports my evidence?
